Key stage 3 (KS3) is the first 3 years of secondary education and covers school Year 7, Year 8, Year 7, for children aged 11 to 14.

The Department for Education recommends that KS3 pupils should know:

The concept and use of Automated External Defibrillation (AED).

Pupils should also know the concepts of common first aid emergencies, and you should provide them with a recap of the first aid skills taught in KS2.
